For Women...

At Woodridge our desire is to welcome and embrace women for who they are and wherever they are in life, offering women opportunities to meet true friends and mentors. Women are faithful.  We want to create opportunities where your faith can grow in powerful, tangible ways, equipping you for whatever life brings your way.

Here is a list of opportunities and groups for women, please join us:

Moms In Step Ministry meets every Thursday morning during the school year. You are invited to join us for a time of spiritual, emotional and physical renewal. We will exercise together, hear from inspiring speakers and do a book study within a small group of about 10 women. Watch for more information on our Fall Semester start date. Moms In Step

Take time out of your busy life to be inspired by someone's story and go home refreshed and uplifted.  Our next event is May 2, 7-9pm. Appetizers and social time begins at 6:30pm.  Enjoy a dinner prepared by Chef Rassy. Our guest speaker will be Amy Senser.

In 2011, life as Amy knew it was forever changed when she was involved in a tragic accident. Her life came under a magnifying glass for reasons one would never hope, and she was sentenced to two years in prison and six months in a work release facility. It was a time of incredible darkness and great despair. But through it all, God showed his goodness, and her faith was made stronger. James 1:2-4 says, Consider it pure joy, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

For our last Living Intentionally of the year, we are giving you an opportunity to live intentionally and be a blessing!  We are partnering with a ministry that our speaker, Amy Senser, is involved with.  Threshold Mentoring Community walks alongside women who are re-entering the community after incarceration and want to live changed lives.  One small way of supporting women who come out of prison and have nothing, is to provide for their basic hygiene needs.  In support of this ministry, we will be collecting toiletry items through May 2.  There will be bins in the church lobby to place any donations.  Items in the greatest need are:  Shampoo & Conditioner, Body Wash, Dental Floss, Tampons/Pads, Laundry Detergent and Disposable Shavers/Shaving Gel.  In addition, much appreciated items are:  journals/notebooks, yellow highlighters and new or gently used copies of devotionals.

Register HERE before April 30. Event Cost is $15.

If you missed the registration feel free to come at 8pm for the speaker portion of our evening!

A safe place to start stepping into God's Word. If you have been desiring this but have not been ready to dive into a deep study, this group is for you. The study book we will use is designed to make it easy to use and helpful for life, whether the Bible is familiar or new to you. Each participant will receive a study guide and an Abundant Life Bible. The page number given after every Bible reference is keyed to the page number in the Abundant Life Bible.

We begin Thursday, May 18th. REGISTER HERE.  Room 218. Contact Jana Haugen with any questions.  Childcare provided. Join anytime, feel free to visit the class before registering.
