At Woodridge, we believe that life transformation happens best in small groups (LIFEgroups) and we are committed to seeing every person grow in their faith as they become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Our LIFEgroup communities are modeled after the Book of Acts, characterized by accountability, servanthood, love and evangelism. We invite you to connect with a LIFEgroup. We have several Life Groups including Impact Groups, and a recovery group available. Check out our Classes Page and our Men's and Women's Ministry Pages for more groups!
In a Facebook world where images of perfect children and perfect families permeate our psyches, how are we ever to measure up? What are we to do if our very own children are struggling with eating disorders, severe anxiety or depression, or even drug or alcohol abuse? How do we “post” the faces of our deeply troubled children without feeling full of sadness, secrecy or even shame? If you have a child who is struggling with any problem that has turned your world upside down, any issue that is making you feel overwhelmed, afraid or even desperate, this is the group for you.
Welcome to a group that will be a place of peace and grace. Join us as we learn about God’s incredible love for us, his mercy and his enduring strength. Meet other parents who understand how you feel and see how God can connect you with others to provide you with a joy that you may have been missing for a long time. Grow as you learn about ways to cope with the parenting challenges you face. Come and be accepted, there is no shame here. Rise up and be the parent (and person) God intended you to be.
We will meet in the Fireside Room at Woodridge Church from 7– 8:30pm on these Tuesdays during the summer; May 30, June 27 & August 29.
Any questions please contact Pastor Annette Jackson
This 6-week study, beginning June 18th at 10:30am, will follow the outline found in Jim Harper's book entitled, "Yes, I want to Understand God's Will for my life." Many of you know Jim - as he has been a greeter and usher at Woodridge for over 15 years. Since launching his book at Woodridge in August 2014, the Lord has opened many doors and his book is now being read in over 45 countries and is being translated into 9 languages (so far). During this study you will learn many things in the Bible that you never knew - or even thought about before. You will also learn how easy it is to be a Spark (you must attend to learn what this means). The Lord gave Jim the inspiration to write this book and he now wishes to share his faith journey with others - along with the answers to many of life's most important questions. Invite friends, neighbors, co-workers, family members, and anybody else that you think might enjoy learning and understand God's Will for their life. Every person who attends will walk away with 10 free books to hand out to others. It plans to an exciting study - you won't want to miss it. Register HERE or email Jim Harper.
This group supports people who are adopting and fostering children Both adoption and foster care are critically important. You will build relationships with attenders from multiple sites and learn how you can help make a difference. Meets monthly on the fourth Sunday of each month, 5-6:30pm in the cafe. Contact John Walt for more information.
The mission of RLM is to empower the local church to reach out and serve our new neighbors (refugees resettling in Minnesota) economically, socially and spiritually. We are looking to form a team of 10-15 people who commit to coming alongside a refugee family in their first year here and forming a relationship with them. Church teams are paired with a family and assist with home orientation, employment, navigating local transportation, education, cultural orientation and ESL tutoring while sharing the love of Christ through hospitality and friendship. Contact with any questions. Learn more at Arrive Ministries.
This group is open to anyone with college age children and beyond (even if they are back in the nest!!) We will meet the second Sunday of each month following second service for lunch. Great time to connect with others! For more information contact: Michelle King
