What will be your "sent to love" story?
As part of the Aspen Grove Network we start and support sites through out the Twin Cities. All the sites and missional communities are interdependent working to expand the opportunity for people to know the love of God found in the Lord Jesus. Currently Aspen Grove sites are:
Crow River Church - Delano
Woodridge Church - Medina
Hope Bridge Church - Plymouth
Mercy Hill Church - Hopkins
We partner with organizations in the Twin Cities to spread the good news about Jesus and show love to people. The Sheridan Story provides weekend food for families that has food insecurity. WE currently work with schools in Westonka, Wayzata, and Minneapolis Districts.
We join with Converge North Central in church planting efforts across the Twin Cities and through out Minnesota.
We regularly participate in food drives in our local area through IOCP.
We support Young Life in Orono and Wayzata schools.
Sent 2 Run is a run / walk 5k that supports the efforts of local and international organizations committed to feeding the hungry. 100% of your $20 registration feed will go toward feeding hungry people.
All participants and volunteers will receive a New Balance long sleeve running shirt if they register on or before Monday April 17, 2017 thanks to Schuler Shoes.
As a network of churches we talk about being Sent to Love. This run is one way for us to show our love, invite others to join in and have fun at the same time.
Check-in on the day of the run / walk is open from 8:00-8:45a. The run / walk begins at 9:00a.
The fastest male participant and fastest female participant will win a pair of shoes from Schuler Shoes and every participant will be entered into a drawing for a pair of shoes.
Here are a few details about the course: We will start and end at Woodridge Church. The run / walk is a 5k loop heading east on Cty Rd 24, making a left onto Tamarack Trail, another left onto Medina Road, a left onto Mohawk drive and finally a left onto Cty Rd 24 into Woodridge.
The mission of RLM is to empower the local church to reach out and serve refugees resettling in Minnesota, economically, socially and spiritually. Woodridge has formed a team who will walk alongside a family in their first year of life in Minnesota. Church teams assist with home orientation, employment, navigating local transportation, education, cultural orientation and ESL tutoring while sharing the love of Christ through hospitality and friendship.
Many of our attenders have asked for ways that they could serve our community as a family. As a church Sent to Love we wanted to provide you with a list of opportunities in our city that would be a good fit for you and your family. Click HERE to download the list, look it over and pray about how God could use you in our city to love others. Each of these organizations can be contacted directly with the information provided.
